Griffithstown AFC Under 8s and Under 16s Compete at Undy AFC Tournament 2026

Two of our teams, our Under 8s and Under 16s, competed at the Undy AFC Tournament, held on 6th-7th and 13-14th June. The 32nd year of the tournament, Undy welcomed over 300 teams to play both non-competitive (U6-U11s) and competitive (U12-U16s) football.
Griffithstown had two teams entered in the U8s and they had an absolute blast. A fast-paced tournament, each squad played five 10-minute matches as well as enjoying everything the event had to offer - from hook-a-duck to fastest shoot-out games, and football cards to getting their hair sprayed in their team colours!
We also entered two teams into the U15/16s competitive tournament, with both sides progressing to the quarter-finals. One team narrowly missed out on a semi-final place, losing 3-2 on penalties after a 0-0 draw. It was a fantastic way to bring their Griffithstown AFC journey to a close. We wish all of the boys the very best as they move on to their new clubs for the 2026/27 season.
