Our U10 Reds and Blacks enjoyed a great weekend at the Pontnewydd United Tournament, with both teams putting in some excellent performances against strong opposition. There was plenty of good football on show, lots of effort and some great teamwork throughout the weekend. Most importantly, the players had a fantastic time representing Griffithstown AFC. Two of our teams, our Under 8s and Under 16s, competed at the Undy AFC Tournament, held on 6th-7th and 13-14th June. The 32nd year of the tournament, Undy welcomed over 300 teams to play both non-competitive (U6-U11s) and competitive (U12-U16s) football. Griffithstown had two teams entered in the U8s and they had an absolute blast. Our Under 8s team enjoyed a fabulous away day and tour to Weston-Super-Mare! Playing four matches against Weston Crusaders, the boys played their socks off in their first ever friendly tour experience. Big thank you to the Crusaders U8s for hosting us! Blaenavon Blues AFC Mini & Juniors Fun Day took place on Saturday 30th May 2026 at the Memorial Ground, featuring a junior football tournament alongside family entertainment, food, music and activities. Our U10s Reds and U10s Blacks teams proudly took part in the tournament and enjoyed a fantastic day of football and fun.
