Griffithstown AFC

Club History

The club was founded in 1976, and since those early years it has steadily grown to become one of the largest clubs in the Torfaen Junior League. We have some 160 plus boys and girls, aged between 8 and 16, who form teams in the following age groups:- under 7's, 8’s, 9’s, 10’s, 11’s,12’s, 14a’s, 14b’s, 16a’s and 16b’s. All are registered to play league football in the Torfaen Junior League.

The Club is self-financing surviving mainly on annual subscriptions made by the players, raffles and other fund making ventures, and occasionally donations made by various bodies, help with our finances. As a club we provide the children with team kit (shorts, socks and jersey), changing room facilities and pitches. All our club officials and team managers are volunteers and are unpaid; they all give their time freely, so please, a request to all you parents, give them, and the team, your support and help where possible, it will be greatly appreciated.
